I received some very interesting information today, from one source only. This source is usually very reliable about information from DAPO. Apparently two specific verbal orders (no memo, no fingerprints) have gone out from the governor's office recently about AB109 realignment clients. One, all central files for persons being released from state custody are now to be retained at the releasing institution. This is (allegedly) to slow down or interfere with freedom of information act requests from the media. If the information can't be “found” it can't be released. Two, internal reports regarding AB109 clients who are accused or suspected of murders or other similar high-profile crimes are to not longer make specific reference to their AB109 status.
