NEWSFLASH

Regular readers will remember I wrote about a citizens arrest under unusual circumstances about a month ago.  The principal and vice-principal involved in the incident have resigned, effective the end of the school year.  The DA refused to prosecute the teacher, who the principal claimed had deliberately bumped into the vice-principle.

The Board of Trustees of Lodi Unified will consider the resignations of Principal Patricia Lingerfelt and Vice Principal Lurdes Rosales at their meeting this evening.  The president of the teachers union, Jeff Johnston, said that changes had to be made at the Lodi Middle School where this situation developed.

Personally, I don’t blame the asst. principal for what she did. The DA dropped her in the grease by refusing to allow the charges to proceed. And schools, which have a record of avoiding cooperation with the police, do not want to have their dirty linens washed in public. Instead of firing the jerk who assaulted the asst. principal, the idiots on the school board are letting the inmates run the asylum.
