Frequently Asked Questions What or Who is Paco Villa? Paco Villa is a website based upon the premise that Correctional Peace Officers need a forum to vent, interact and tell it like it is without fear of reprisals. While not an official site of the California Correctional Peace Officers Association (CCPOA), Paco Villa is dedicated to the membership of that organization. Who can post to the blog? Anyone may post a comment to one of Paco's rants. They will not be edited. However, personal attacks, racist statements and undue obscenity will result in comments being deleted by an administrator, usually Paco. Additionally, those wanting to post an article or picture on the site may send submissions to paco@pacovilla.com. Submissions will either be posted verbatim, rejected entirely or sent back with suggested corrections. I will not edit your stuff without your final OK nor post something with obvious mistakes to make you look stupid. Who is Spud? What is the significance of "Paco Villa" and the logo? Paco is an acronym to represent the two largest classifications in State Bargaining Unit 6 (BU6), PArole agent and COrrectional officer. The bandito is a stereotype employed to represent how CPO's are stereotyped. Paco has no face to represent the anonymous, unappreciated nature of what we do. The ammunition bandaliers represent our function in the criminal justice system. The "VI" where the bandaliers meet represent BU6. The oval perimeter of the logo clips Paco's hat as a representation of the facilities in which we work. Paco's official motto is: PACO HAS YOUR BACK! What does Sack-B, GAS, Bug, Box etc. refer to? Paco's shorthand: GAS=Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger Bug=Sen. Gloria Romero (because she is a gnat) Box=Sen. Jackie Speier (because) Driftwood=CDC 'Director' Jeanne Woodford Sack-B=The Sacramento Bee newspaper (Say you have 2 sacks full of manure. One is Sack-A, the other is Sack-B.
