Off-duty cop murdered in apparent street robbery

A Philadelphia PD officer who was on his way home after working first watch was shot and killed yesterday in what was an apparent street robbery.

Officer Moses Walker, Jr. was shot several times about 0600 while he was on foot about four blocks from his precinct.  He was not in uniform.

There is a $30,000 reward out for information in this case.  Philadelphia is running about one murder per day this year.  There were three other murders in the hours before Officer Walker was shot down.
