Hate crime or not?

BobsBlotterThere may, or may not, have been a hate crime perpetrated in beautiful Stockton in the Costco parking lot recently.  The woman-victim is a Muslim who was wearing the traditional hijab head scarf.  The woman was loading packages into her car.  Allegedly a man pulled into the parking lot spot next to hers and shouted at her, calling her a terrorist, before walking away.  For some reason not explained, she was still in the lot when he returned.  She attempted to photograph his license plate.  (Why did she wait until he returned to do this?)  He quickly backed out of his spot, allegedly attempting to run her down.  He then allegedly issued a few more verbal unpleasantries, then left.  The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) is getting involved in this.

The cops know who all the players are and a police report has been filed.  The case is now in the hands of the DA.

Not to be an ass, but was she waiting for someone to travel with her back home, such as a husband peeing in the Costco Restroom? Just a thought to explain the “waiting” behavior

Certainly possible. Odd the news piece I read didn’t mention that, but the news misses a lot of important stuff. Sorry I forgot to link the story. Also I would think it would be odd for the woman to go outside leaving her male protector inside, but maybe I am reading too much into the situation.
