Armed road-rage backfires in Antioch

Aug 29th, 2013 | By | Category: Bob's Blotter, Crime In General, Firearms

BobsBlotterAt about 1630 hours on Tuesday Korey Marcel Germaine, 24, of Vallejo, cut off another driver then brandished a firearm at the motorist at a traffic light on Deer Valley Road.  Germaine then drove away in his Benz, and the guy on the other end of the brandishing incident called the cops.  The Antioch PD spotted the car and a chase ensued.

The chase reached 80 mph and Germaine is alleged to have tried to run at least one cop off the road.  The suspect vehicle hit at least one PD vehicle and one uninvolved citizen.

The Benz plowed in at Hillcrest and Wildflower.  Germaine bailed out, ran a bit, then turned and pointed his gun at the cops.  They opened fire.  Germaine was pronounced dead at the scene.

The late and not terribly lamented Germaine has priors for battery, carrying a concealed weapon and evasion.
